The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is investigating an early morning fire that caused damage to Milton Health Centre on Maple Avenue in Milton.
Emergency crews were called to the facility at 1225 Maple Avenue at around 3:10 a.m. on Sunday, October 19th following reports of a fire alarm. When officers arrived, they found the front door glass shattered and visible fire damage in the reception area. The blaze was quickly extinguished by the building’s sprinkler system, but both fire and water damage were sustained. A damage estimate has not yet been determined.
Police say one suspect was seen in the area at the time of the incident. The individual was wearing dark clothing, a dark face covering, and was carrying a gas can.
