Milton Magic FC has made history!
Over the Thanksgiving long weekend, the club’s U15 Boys’ team became the first Milton Magic squad to capture a national championship, earning a hard-fought 1-0 win over Quebec’s Saguenay Lac St-Jean in the final match Monday in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
The Magic’s path to the title was dominant from the outset. After topping their group with wins over Moncton Codiac and Saskatoon Alliance (outscoring opponents 8-1) the team advanced with a 2-0 quarterfinal victory against Winnipeg 1v1 Futbol. They followed that up with a commanding 3-0 shutout over Edmonton Northside United FC in the semifinals to secure their place in the national final.
“This is a truly historic moment for Milton Magic FC,” says club president Phil Ionadi. “To bring home the first National Championship in our club’s history is an extraordinary accomplishment that reflects years of hard work, teamwork, and commitment to excellence.”
The title capped a remarkable undefeated 2025 season for the U15’s, which included league and cup victories in the Golden Horseshoe Soccer League, an Ontario Cup triumph, and international tournament wins at the Nike Blue Chip Showcase in Ohio and the Penn Fusion Showcase in Pennsylvania. The team was led by Head Coach Andy Garcia, with assistant coaches Joe Mattacchione and Loukas Papaconstantinou, alongside Team Manager Meleese O’Connell and Director of Soccer David Benning.
Adding to the club’s success, Milton’s own Ethan Secondino was named tournament MVP.
