The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) recovered a 2024 Toyota Highlander earlier this week after it had been reported stolen from a parking lot near Gordon Street and Clair Road West.
The vehicle was found with significant interior damage.
This recovery was part of a broader investigation led by Guelph Police, who responded to three other separate vehicle thefts in Guelph on Monday involving a Ford F150, a Hyundai Accent, and a Volvo truck. Two of those vehicles were also later recovered.
All of the incidents remain under investigation.
Police are reminding residents to take precautions against auto theft, including parking in well-lit areas, locking doors and windows, using steering wheel or ignition locks, and storing electronic keys in signal-blocking pouches.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
