A Milton woman is feeling very lucky after winning the lottery!
Paramjit Walia won $89,171 through a LOTTO MAX second prize in the July 25th draw.
The 56-year-old manufacturing worker says this is her first big after playing the lottery for a longtime.
She stopped by the pharmacy to check her ticket and discovered she’s a big winner.
“The machine froze, and I was so excited,” she recalled while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect her windfall. “[My son] believed me immediately and said I was so nonchalant. Honestly, I still didn’t believe it myself! We’ve kept the news pretty quiet and have been continuing on with our regular day-to-day routines.”
She plans to take some time to consider how best to enjoy her winnings.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Shell gas station on Dundas Street East in Mississauga.
