The Nottawasaga OPP are investigating after a white 2024 Toyota Tundra was stolen from a driveway on Nottawasaga Drive in Essa Township last week.
During the early morning hours of Tuesday, September 23rd, police say the vehicle, with Ontario licence plate BZ 13420, was taken overnight after suspects smashed the driver’s side window.
Surveillance footage shows a suspect SUV arriving around 1:10 a.m., with two individuals in hoodies exiting the vehicle while a third stayed inside. One suspect broke into the pickup truck using an unknown device before driving it away at roughly 1:18 a.m. The stolen vehicle’s tracking device was later found near 385 Centre Street in Angus.
The suspect vehicle is described only as an SUV, while the suspects remain unidentified.
Police are asking residents and businesses in the areas of Nottawasaga Drive and Centre Street to review security footage for suspicious activity between 1:00 and 2:00 a.m. on the morning of the theft.
