The Milton Public Library (MPL) is inviting local teens to take part in its Project Pen Pal, a creative program that connects youth with seniors through the tradition of letter writing.
Participants will be provided with materials to write letters that will be shared with residents of local retirement homes, and they’ll also have the chance to create small crafts or items to include in their envelopes.
The program is open to teens ages 13 to 17, with high school students also eligible to earn community volunteer hours for their participation. Sessions will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on select Thursdays, beginning October 2nd, and running monthly until May 14th.
Project Pen Pal will take place in the Bandura Fireplace Lounge at the Main Library.
