CONTACT Community Services has announced the election of Jonathan Scott and Katherine Pressnail as Co-Chairs of its Board of Directors, following the completion of Jennifer Lloyd’s term as Chair.
The announcement was made during the organization’s recent Annual General Meeting.
Lloyd’s leadership helped shape a pivotal chapter for CONTACT, including the hiring of a new Executive Director, expanding into Collingwood, and strengthening its social enterprises.
“Jennifer has done so much behind the scenes for our organization, our clients and the communities we are dedicated to serve,” says Executive Director Tina de los Santos.
Scott brings extensive governance and public service experience to the role, currently serving as a municipal councillor in Bradford West Gwillimbury, Chair of the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority, and a member of the VIA Rail Canada Board. He is also an experienced business consultant and holds degrees in law, business, and arts from universities in Canada and the UK.
Pressnail, a senior manager at KPMG Canada, is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with a strong record of community service. She has already guided CONTACT as Treasurer and Vice-Chair and holds degrees in accounting, business, and cognitive analytics. Outgoing Chair Jennifer Lloyd praised her “outstanding dedication and competence,” highlighting her financial expertise as a key strength for the organization.
Both Scott and Pressnail expressed their commitment to strengthening CONTACT’s role in South Simcoe.
“Our role will only grow in the years ahead,” says Scott.
“I am committed to ensuring CONTACT remains strong and sustainable, while also positioning it to meet emerging needs and opportunities in our community,” add Pressnail.
