Families in Milton will have several opportunities this fall to learn more about academic programs and pathways offered through the Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB).
Local secondary schools are preparing to host information sessions designed to help students and parents plan for Grade 9 and beyond.
At St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Secondary School, families can attend an information session on Wednesday, November 5th at 6:30 p.m. to learn about the school’s Pre-International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme. Currently in its candidacy phase, St. Kateri aims to become an IB World School by September 2026. The same evening will also highlight Advanced Placement (AP) Program Prep opportunities.
Bishop P.F. Reding Catholic Secondary School will host its Grade 8 Information Evening on Tuesday, October 14th at 6:30 p.m., while St. Francis Xavier Catholic Secondary School will hold theirs on Thursday, November 6th at 6:30 p.m. Each event will provide details on Grade 9 programs and help families transition into high school.
In addition, Bishop Reding will hold an AP Information Session on Tuesday, October 21st at 6:30 p.m., giving students and parents an inside look at university-level learning opportunities available at the school.
These sessions are a chance for Milton families to connect with staff, explore academic pathways such as IB, AP, and STEAM, and better prepare for the journey into secondary school.
