The Town of Innisfil and the Innisfil Heritage Advisory Committee are inviting residents to step back in time with the Innisfil Heritage Walk.
This free guided walking tour will begin at St. James United Church, located at 2230 Victoria Street. It will highlight notable heritage properties, families who helped shape the village, and municipal heritage matters. Committee members will lead the walk alongside long-time residents and special guest storytellers who will share personal ties and histories connected to Stroud.
“I hope this event brings neighbours together and allows them to learn more about the place they call home,” says Mayor Lynn Dollin. “Thank you to the Innisfil Heritage Advisory Committee and Town staff who have brought back the Heritage Walk for its second year. We need to slow down, connect, and appreciate the places we pass every day that make up our community.”
It’s taking place on Sunday, October 5th from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the village of Stroud. Participants are encouraged to park at the Stroud Innisfil Community Centre, located at 7883 Yonge Street, and walk to the starting point. The tour will take place rain or shine, so attendees are advised to dress for the weather.
