Residents in Halton will have a convenient opportunity to safely dispose of household hazardous waste and electronics later this month.
Halton Region is hosting a Special Waste Drop-off Day on Saturday, September 27th, at the Halton Regional Centre’s south parking lot, 1151 Bronte Road in Oakville, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The event is open to Halton residents and accepts items such as paint, batteries, chemicals, cleaners, old electronics, and more. Commercial loads will not be accepted. Residents are reminded to pack items securely in labelled containers and to clear all personal information from electronic devices before drop-off.
Special Waste Drop-off Days are part of Halton’s efforts to protect the environment and keep hazardous materials out of landfills. More events will be held across the region in the months ahead.
