Construction sign with worker
Milton’s Ontario Street South is back under construction.
The Town of Milton calls it the Ontario Street Rehabilitation Project. It includes upgrades such as storm sewer and structure repairs, new curbs and sidewalks, concrete base repairs, and full-depth asphalt replacement.
The work will take place between Main Street East and Laurier Avenue, with localized lane closures expected. Traffic will be diverted at times into opposite lanes, and some night work will occur at intersections. No full road closures are planned, but drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, follow signage, and consider alternate routes.
Construction is already underway and is scheduled to wrap up by October 10th, with staging occurring in phases from Main Street to Donald Campbell Avenue. Timelines may shift due to weather or other factors.
