The County of Simcoe has extended the nomination period for the 13th Annual Newcomer Recognition Awards.
These awards highlight individuals, organizations, and businesses making a positive impact on the lives of newcomers in Simcoe County.
Hosted by the Simcoe County Local Immigration Partnership (LIP) for more than a decade, the event celebrates community leaders and champions who create inclusive opportunities and support for newcomers.
Nominations are open in categories including:
- Immigrant Mentor
- Inclusive Housing Practices
- Service Excellence
- Small Business Owner
- Educator Excellence
- Youth Community Champion
- Ethnocultural Group
- Newcomer Inclusive Service Delivery
- Immigrant Artist
Community members are encouraged to submit nominations online and help shine a light on the contributions shaping a more welcoming Simcoe County.
