Area 8 Conservation Area in Milton (Cameron Wilkinson, 2022)
Arts Milton, in partnership with the Town of Milton and Conservation Halton, is inviting the community to take part in a special Ontario Culture Days celebration at Area 8 Conservation Area this weekend.
Area 8, once a quarry, has been transformed into a beautiful natural space with restored grasslands and a sparkling blue lake that supports local wildlife. Visitors can enjoy the Species at Risk Discovery Trail, a self-guided Poet’s Walk, a natural playground with tricycles and pedal carts, and even a fall colours tie-dye station where participants can bring their own clothing or purchase a shirt onsite.
Additional activities, available for a small fee, include archery, hatchet throwing, boat rentals, and a lakeside BBQ lunch. Organizers encourage families to come out, explore the park, and enjoy the combination of creative expression and the outdoors.
The event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 28th at Area 8 Conservation Area, with free entry for all attendees.
