The Milton Public Library (MPL) is marking the upcoming Diwali season with a community-wide donation drive to support local families in need.
From Monday, September 22nd to Friday, October 17th, residents are encouraged to drop off non-perishable food items at any MPL branch.
The library is especially seeking donations of staples such as rice, cooking oil, flour, pasta, pasta sauce, and traditional spices including garam masala, coriander powder, jeera powder, and turmeric. All contributions will go directly to Food for Life, a local charity dedicated to reducing food insecurity.
Donations can be made during regular library hours at any branch. Find each branch here:
- Main Library – 1010 Main Street East
- Sherwood Library – 6355 Main Street West
- Beaty Library – 945 Fourth Line
