A suspicious package cause quite the stir in Innisfil last week.
On Wednesday, September 10th, shortly after 12:00 p.m., South Simcoe Police responded to a report regarding a package containing possible radioactive material. The package was located secure in a vehicle parked at a retail plaza on Innisfil Beach Road in Innisfil.
A perimeter was established to allow for a thorough assessment and to assist with the proper disposal of the material.
As of the latest update, there was no threat to public safety.
The investigation remains ongoing.
