The Milton Menace continue to roll through the early games of the 2025-2026 OJHL regular season.
On Friday, September 12th, the Menace hit the road to take on the Niagara Falls Canucks. They were 1-0-0-1 heading into this game after tying their home opener against the Buffalo Jr. Sabres, and then followed that up with a win over Georgetown. Read more on those games here.
The Canucks jumped out to a lead in the first period, but Milton quickly responded. Newbie Josh Currie scored his 2nd goal of the season, assisted by Dean Deligeorgis and Gavin Sheehan. It was 1-1 after 20 minutes of action.
In the second period, Ivan Fabjan buried his 1st of the season thanks to the man advantage. His PP goal was assisted by Gabriel Ciarallo and Deligeorgis. While Niagara Falls was able to tie it back up, the Menace put the peddle to the metal. A few late penalties gave the Menace some powerplay chances – with Fabjan and Captain Graeme MacAuley both finding the back of the net. Milton led 4-2 after two periods of play.
That would be all, as the final period was mostly uneventful aside from one Canucks penalty. Milton beat Niagara Falls 4-2.
Austin McKillop was once again in net for the Menace, stopping 30 of 32 shots for the .937% save percentage.
Milton now takes part in the OJHL Governor’s Showcase this week in Niagara Falls. Game one is against the St. Michael’s Buzzers. Game time is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 15th. A second game will be played on Tuesday.
The Menace return home on Friday, September 19th to take on the Burlington Cougars at the Milton Memorial Arena. Buy your tickets for any/all home games here.
