Barrie Police have arrested three men after an early morning break and enter turned into a dangerous chase through the city.
Just before 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 7th, officers responded to a business near Ardagh Road and Mapleton Avenue and spotted three suspects leaving the scene. The suspects fled in a vehicle that struck a police cruiser and nearly collided with two others before crashing off Highway 400.
All three suspects, men aged 25, 28, and 37 from Brampton, were arrested after trying to flee on foot. They face multiple charges, including break and enter, theft over $5,000, disguise with intent, conspiracy, possession of break-in instruments, and possession of stolen property. The 37-year-old and 28-year-old also face dangerous driving and flight from police charges, while all three are charged with failing to comply with release or probation orders.
Police seized the vehicle involved, along with Canadian currency and stolen products believed to be taken from the business. One of the suspects, a 25-year-old man, was treated for minor injuries at hospital before being released back into custody.
All three remain in custody pending a bail hearing.
