A 29-year-old Barrie man is facing multiple charges following a single-vehicle rollover crash in Innisfil.
The South Simcoe Police Service says the collision happened at around 9:20 p.m. on Wednesday, August 27th on Shore Acres Drive. Officers found a silver Nissan Versa with significant damage on the northbound side of the road. The driver suffered minor injuries after swerving off the road and rolling over. Police also discovered empty alcohol containers inside the vehicle and determined the man was impaired.
He was arrested and charged with impaired driving, dangerous operation, being a novice driver with alcohol in his system, and driving without a licence.
His licence has been suspended, his vehicle impounded, and he is scheduled to appear in court on September 11th.
Police are reminding residents that impaired driving endangers lives. They urge everyone to plan ahead by arranging a designated driver, using public transit, or calling a ride service.
