The Oakville and District Labour Council (ODLC) is inviting the community to its 2nd Annual Labour Day Picnic in Milton!
This family-friendly event will feature food, face painting, and games, making it a fun way to celebrate Labour Day together.
Tara Hambly is the President of the ODLC. She explains how they came to the decision to start this new annual event last September.
It’s happening at a new location this year, with it being officially moved to the Milton Sports Park on Santa Maria Boulevard in Milton. Hambly is also excited to share that a popcorn machine will now be on location, adding to the collection of food, fun, and games!
If you’re involved with a union, but not affiliated with ODLC, Hambly is hoping you take part in the picnic.
While it is a free event, you’re asked to register ahead of time. That way, they know just how many people to expect for the free food.
Attendees are also invited to make a donation to United Way Halton & Hamilton.
It’s all taking place on Saturday, September 6th, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Milton Sports Park.
