An Oakville man is one of two suspects in an armed carjacking incident in Mississauga earlier this summer.
On Thursday, June 19th, Peel Police say two suspects approached a man on the driveway of a home on Mineola Road. One suspect was armed with a knife, while the other claimed to have a gun, demanding the victim’s car keys, watch, and cell phone. The suspects fled in the victim’s 2023 Mercedes-Benz Maybach, which was recovered the next day. The victim was not physically injured.
Investigators later identified and arrested 19-year-old Ekamveer Randhawa of Brampton on July 19th. He was charged with robbery, wearing a disguise with intent, and possession of property obtained by crime.
On Thursday, August 28th, police arrested 20-year-old Parth Sharma of Oakville, who faces the same charges in addition to driving while disqualified.
Both men were held for a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice.
