An Oakville man is the latest local lottery winner!
Wilfrid Morency is celebrating a life-changing win after claiming the $5 million LOTTO 6/49 Classic Jackpot from the June 11th draw.
The longtime lottery player, father of one and grandfather of two said he was enjoying his morning coffee when he checked his numbers and realized he had matched all six Classic Draw numbers.
“When I realized I’d won $5 million, my mind went blank,” he said at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto. “I took a couple of pictures, just to be sure.”
Morency immediately shared the news with his partner, who was thrilled, and later called his son and grandchildren. His first big purchase will be a new electric car, along with plans to invest for the future and enjoy a vacation.
The winning ticket was purchased at Metro on North Service Road West in Oakville.
