It was a day to remember!
FM 101 Milton held the 7th annual All Hands on Deck Food Drive for Food4Kids Halton, hosted by John’s No Frills in Milton, on Friday, August 22nd. Residents were asked to come to the grocery store and purchase $5 grab bags filled with items needed to ensure local students can eat on weekends during the upcoming school year.
With help from the Milton Menace players, Wallace Chevrolet, and the staff at No Frills, the food drive was able to raise $3,667.35 in funds and $1,334.50 in kind, totaling $5,001.85 for more than 350 kids in Milton.
Thank you to Milton Mayor Gord Krantz, Milton East – Halton Hills South MP Kristina Tesser Derksen, and Milton MPP Zee Hamid for stopping by and assisting with donations.
We’re looking forward to next summer for yet another incredible food drive, and hopefully, another beautiful day in the sun!
