The Milton Menace were on the road this past weekend as they continue their preseason round of games.
On Sunday, August 24th, the Menace went into Mississauga to take on the King Rebellion at the Iceland Arena. Heading into the match-up, Milton was undefeated, beating the Aurora Tigers twice the previous weekend.
King started the scoring early, jumping out to a two goal lead in the first period. Before came to a close, Alec Stewart was able to score on the powerplay, assisted by Gabriel Ciarallo. It was 2-1 Rebellion after 20 minutes of action.
In the second period, Milton tied it up thanks to a goal from Dean Deligeorgis, assisted by Nathan Catalano and Marcus Tryfon. It was 2-2 after two periods of play.
The final frame was all King, as they scored twice and took the 4-2 victory.
In net, Owen Byers started the game. He played the first two periods, letting in two goals on 22 shots. He was then relieved by Kyle Munro, who only faced five shots, letting in one of them, before King scored an empty netter at the end of the game.
Next up for Milton is a home game against the Mississauga Chargers on Friday, August 29th. This will be the final preseason game before the regular season begins. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m. at the Sherwood Community Centre.
