Halton Student Transportation Services (HSTS) is helping young students start the school year with confidence by once again offering its First-Time Rider Program later this month.
Designed especially for primary students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 3, this fun and educational program introduces kids to school buses and bus safety in a relaxed setting before the first day of school.
The one-hour session includes:
- A short school bus ride
- Safety handouts to take home
- A viewing of “Buzzy the Bee’s Safety Video”, which teaches key safety tips in a fun, engaging way
HSTS encourages all families with young riders to participate in this important back-to-school tradition. It’s a great way to ease first-day nerves and help children (and parents!) feel comfortable and ready for the ride ahead.
It’s happening on Saturday, August 23rd.
