The Town of New Tecumseth has issued a total open-air burning ban due to dry conditions and increased fire risk.
The ban prohibits all open-air burning, use of fireworks, and cooking fires or barbecues fueled by coal, charcoal, wood, or woodchips, regardless of permits.
The ban will stay in place until further notice.
