Have a broken lamp, clock, or toaster sitting around?
Sustainable Milton invites you to bring it to their next Repair Café next month.
Skilled volunteers will be on hand to help you repair household items for free, promoting a more sustainable way to reduce waste. From bicycle tune-ups to fixing small appliances and electronics, the event encourages residents to try and repair before retiring their belongings. However, electrical repairs must be pre-booked by emailing repair@sustainablemilton.ca – drop-in electrical items won’t be accepted.
To guarantee a repair time, residents are asked to email in advance with details of their item. Items requiring new parts may need a follow-up appointment at a future Repair Café.
It’s happening on Saturday, September 27th from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Milton Sports Centre.
This event is part of Sustainable Milton’s ongoing mission to host 10 Repair Cafés per year across town, helping keep repairable items out of landfills and inspiring a more sustainable community.
