Milton’s Ontario Street is going back under construction.
The Town of Milton says it’s scheduled for major infrastructure upgrades as part of the Ontario Street Rehabilitation Project, set to begin in August. The project will span from Main Street East to Laurier Avenue.
Key improvements include storm sewer repairs, curb and sidewalk replacement, concrete road base repairs, and full-depth base and surface asphalt replacement. These enhancements aim to improve road safety, drainage, and overall infrastructure durability in the area.
Although no full road closures are planned, localized lane closures will be necessary throughout the construction period.
The Town will provide updates through its social media channels and interactive road closure map once staging is finalized with the contractor.
Residents and commuters are encouraged to plan ahead and use caution when travelling in the area.
It’s expected to be completed by May 2026, pending any issues.
