The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) were part of a joint investigation looking into a semi-truck theft that took place in North Dumfries this past weeekend.
On Saturday, July 12th, Waterloo Regional Police responded to reports of a break-in at a commercial property in the Piper Street area of North Dumfries Township where four semi-trucks were stolen. The investigation is being led by Waterloo’s Break, Enter and Vehicle Theft (BEVT) Team, with assistance from both Halton Regional Police and Peel Regional Police.
Thanks to the coordinated efforts of Waterloo Police, the HPRS, and Peel Regional Police – three of the four stolen trucks have now been recovered. Investigators continue to search for the final vehicle and identify the suspects responsible.
