The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is investigating an arson in Burlington.
On Friday, July 11th, at roughly 2:00 a.m., two suspects attended the Branthaven Homes development on Turnberry Road, located near Appleby Line and Taywood Drive.
This complex is in the final phases of construction and consists of a mix of occupied and unoccupied homes.
The suspects threw gasoline on multiple townhouse units that were recently completed and set to close. The suspects also threw gasoline on an occupied unit in between the newly constructed townhouses. The suspects lit the gasoline and fled the scene.
Fortunately, the residents of the occupied home were able to safely escape and no injuries were reported to police. Burlington Fire attended and were quickly able to contain the flames.
The two suspects are described by the HRPS as:
- males
- dressed all in black with face coverings and hoods
These same units were targeted for an arson in October 2024.
Police are asking anyone who may have dash cam footage or home surveillance footage of area between the hours of 12:45 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. on the morning of July 11th to contact police.
