A Georgetown resident is celebrating a life-changing win after scoring $1 million in the LOTTO 6/49 Gold Ball Draw held on May 10th.
Innoccenzo Armata, a long-time lottery player and father of two, claimed the prize at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto. The accountant was following his regular routine of buying his weekly ticket at his usual store.
The day after the draw, he scanned his ticket using the OLG app and was stunned to see the seven-figure prize on the screen.
“I was so excited but surprisingly calm at the same time.”
After showing the win to his wife, the couple began planning how they’ll use the money: paying bills, investing, saving for vacations, and possibly some home renovations.
The winning ticket was purchased at George’s Convenience on Mississauga Road in Brampton.
