A routine patrol by Barrie Police led to a major weapons and drug seizure in the early hours of Sunday, July 6th.
Just after midnight, two officers noticed a male acting suspiciously near Dunlop Street East and Mulcaster Street, walking oddly behind parked cars and later engaging in a heated argument with a female.

The 22-year-old suspect, who has no fixed address, was arrested on the spot and taken to Barrie Police Headquarters.
There, officers found the man also had suspected fentanyl, cocaine, and crack cocaine hidden in his clothing.
He now faces a long list of charges, including:
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Possession of a loaded prohibited firearm
- Carrying a concealed weapon
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl, cocaine, and crack cocaine
- Possession of weapons and ammunition contrary to prohibition orders
The suspect was held for a bail hearing.
