A woman from King has been arrested following a disturbance at a local residence.
On Tuesday, June 17th, at roughly 6:30 p.m., South Simcoe Police responded to a report of a disturbance at a property on Line 7 in the Innisfil. Police arrived on scene and observed a woman actively damaging a vehicle with a golf club. Police took the suspect into custody; however, during their arrest the suspect was uncooperative and uttered threats towards a member of the public as well as assaulting two officers by kicking them.
The investigation on scene revealed that the occurrence had begun when the suspect confronted another person at the location while possessing a sharp barbeque tool.
As a result, a 22-year-old woman from the Township of King was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
- Mischief Under $5,000
- Uttering Threats to Cause Death
- Assault Peace Officer
The accused was held pending a bail hearing.
