Nottawasaga OPP responded to a single-vehicle crash in a ditch last week.
When officers arrived on scene along the 5th Line in Essa Township, the vehicle was empty.
Two individuals later returned to the scene and spoke with police.
Officers found evidence that the driver was impaired by alcohol, an Innisfil resident was arrested and faces several charges and is scheduled to appear in court.
