The Town of Milton has announced the upcoming reconstruction of the Fourth Line Nassagaweya Bridge, located roughly 800 metres south of No. 30 Side Road.
Identified for replacement through the Town’s bi-annual bridge needs study, the project includes the full removal and replacement of the existing bridge, new asphalt surface, updated guiderails, and full site restoration.
Construction is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 16th, with an expected completion date in November.
To allow crews to safely complete the work, Fourth Line Nassagaweya will be fully closed to traffic between No. 25 Side Road and No. 30 Side Road starting Monday, June 23rd through November 30th. While local access will be maintained for residents, there will be no access across the bridge.
A signed detour route will be in place using No. 25 Side Road, Fifth Line, and No. 30 Side Road. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra time while travelling through the area.
