A man is wanted following a sexual assault case along an Oakville trail.
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says that on Wednesday, June 4th, at roughly 5:30 p.m., a woman was walking along the Sixteen Mile Creek Heritage Trail near Skyvalley Crescent in Oakville alone. She was then sexually assaulted by an unknown male suspect.
The victim was approached from behind by the suspect who was riding a bike. The man grabbed the woman in a sexual manner before fleeing on his bike. She was not physically injured during the assault.
The suspect is described by the HRPS as:
- white
- male
- roughly 40-50 years old
- no facial hair
- wide nose
- stocky or muscular build
- wearing shorts and a t-shirt and a bike helmet

Sexual assault is any touching of another person without their consent where the touching is of a sexual nature, or where the sexual integrity of the victim is violated. A sexual assault can range from unwanted touching to sexual assault involving penetration.
There is no statute of limitation when it comes to reporting a sexual assault. This means that no matter how long ago the sexual assault happened, you can still report it to police for investigation.
