A Grade 9 student in Oakville is one of the best mathletes in the world after ranking first in the prestigious Caribou Mathematics Contest.
Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School is celebrating Max Pimentel. He participated in all six contests held this year and earned the highest cumulative score among more than 5,000 students worldwide in the Grade 9 and 10 category.
The Caribou Math Contest brings together thousands of students from over 30 countries, including Canada, the U.S., China, Turkey, and nations across Europe.
Pimentel plans to pursue mathematics at the university level.
