A Halton Hills man has been arrested following an “indecent act act” near the Hungry Hollow trail system.
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says that on June 1st, at 7:40 p.m., a woman was seated on a bench adjacent to a secluded public trail system in the area of the Credit River and Mountainview Road South, known locally as Hungry Hollow, when the suspect approached the victim from behind. Sensing someone close by the victim turned around to find the suspect engaged in an indecent act. The victim fled and contacted police who were able to locate the suspect and affect an arrest.
As a result of the investigation, 36-year-old James McHale was charged with:
- Indecent Act
- Disobey Court Order
McHale was held in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton.
Investigators believe McHale may have committed similar acts and believe there may be additional victims. Anyone with information regarding this investigation, or anyone who has been victimized by McHale is asked to contact the 1 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777 ext. 2416.
