Milton residents are invited to weigh in on proposed changes to the Town’s zoning regulations at a statutory public meeting.
The Town is proposing a zoning by-law amendment to permit additional residential units (ARUs) on lots in Low Density Residential Zones that do not have full municipal water and wastewater services. The changes would also align Milton’s regulations with updated provincial guidelines for ARUs, including rules around lot coverage and setbacks.
This amendment aims to support the Town’s Official Plan and promote housing flexibility by allowing more diverse residential options. While no decisions will be made at this meeting, residents can view the report to council starting June 16th and are encouraged to register for delegation by June 19th at noon if they wish to speak at the meeting.
It’s set for the next Council meeting on Monday, June 23rd, at 7:00 p.m. It will be held in the Council Chambers at 150 Mary Street and also streamed online for virtual participation.
To receive updates, request documents, or make accessibility accommodations, residents can contact the Town Clerk or Development Services.
