At this week’s Council meeting, members reviewed the 2025 Year-End Budget Variance report, providing a snapshot of the Town’s financial position as of March 31st.
The Town is currently forecasting a modest year-end operating surplus of $32,000, with Water and Wastewater budgets expected to break even.
However, capital projects are showing a projected shortfall of $2.1 million.
In other business, Council approved funding for this year’s Mayor’s Student Bursary Program.
Twenty-two students who met the program’s requirements will each receive a $2,000 bursary.
The motion passed unanimously.
