Two Simcoe County paramedics have received one of the province’s highest honours — the Ontario Medal for Paramedic Bravery.
Kayleigh Niccols and Dylan Radford were recognized for risking their lives to save others.
The honour stems from a emergency call last year, when the pair responded to a serious two-vehicle crash.
Both vehicles were fully engulfed in flames, both Kayleigh and Dylan used a fire extinguisher to try to control the flames and smashed windows to search for anyone inside.
The Ontario Medal for Paramedic Bravery is awarded to those who show extraordinary bravery in the line of duty, and Simcoe County is proud to see two of its own recognized at the provincial level.
