The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is on the lookout for an unknown man following a theft case at a local cannabis store.
On Monday, April 14th, at roughly 9:30 p.m., the suspect entered The Hunnypot Cannabis store, located at 2000 Appleby Line in Burlington. The suspect approached the counter and asked to break two $100 bills. The cashier agreed and passed ten $20 bills back to the suspect. The suspect pocketed five of the $20 bills he received, claimed he was shorted, and demanded the cashier return what he originally provided. The cashier handed him back his money without realizing what had happened.
The HRPS describes the suspect as:
- Male
- South Asian
- full beard
- wearing a black shirt
