The Milton Public Library is calling on creative teens to help design and paint a vibrant mural that will be featured on the library’s float in the upcoming PRIDE Halton Parade.
Presented by PRISM Halton, the parade takes place on July 20th along Main Street in Milton. This year’s theme, Read with Pride365, emphasizes that Pride isn’t just for June – it’s a year-round celebration of inclusion and identity.
A mural workshop will be held on Monday, May 26th, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Beaty Branch Program Room. Participants are asked to wear clothes they don’t mind getting messy. Teens who participate will earn volunteer hours, and all painting supplies will be provided.
There are multiple mural work dates, and participants are asked to sign up for each session individually. Learn more here.
The Beaty Branch will be closed to the public during the workshops.
