A new speed limit pilot project has officially launched in Alliston.
The initiative sets a maximum speed of 40 km/h across several neighbourhoods, aiming to improve road safety for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists.
New speed limit signs are now up at key boundary roads, including Young Street, King Street South, and Industrial Parkway.
Drivers in New Tecumseth are also reminded that new automated speed enforcement cameras are set to go live on June 2nd.
The Town announced the installation at two locations, Queen Street in Tottenham and Lilly Street in Beeton.
The implementation of the cameras is part of a province-wide effort to curb dangerous driving.
