A 19-year-old Georgetown man is facing multiple charges following a tragic collision that killed three children in Toronto over the long weekend.
Just after 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 18th, Toronto Police say a Dodge Caravan exited Highway 401 at Renforth Drive at high speed, lost control, and struck a Chrysler Pacifica at the intersection.
The crash killed three young passengers – ages 15, 13, and 6 – inside the Pacifica. A 40-year-old man, a 35-year-old woman, and a 10-year-old child were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Ethan Lehouillier was arrested at the scene and now faces multiple counts of impaired driving and dangerous driving causing death and bodily harm. He appeared in court on Sunday in Toronto.
Investigators continue to gather evidence and are asking anyone with dashcam or surveillance footage to contact Toronto Police Traffic Services at 416-808-1900 or submit an anonymous tip at 222tips.com.
