The Toronto Police Service has arrested five youths in connection with a violent robbery and stabbing that occurred this week.
On Monday, May 12th, at roughly 1:50 p.m., Officers responded to the area of Guildwood Parkway and Livingston Road. Two victims were reportedly assaulted and stabbed while waiting at a bus stop. According to police, the group of five suspects surrounded the victims, demanded their wallets and cellphones, and began assaulting them.
Both victims, aged 15, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators were able to quickly identify and arrest all five suspects.
A 12-year-old male youth from Oakville was charged with:
- two counts of Robbery with an Offensive Weapon
- two counts of Assault Cause Bodily Harm
- Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace
A 13-year-old male youth from Toronto was charged with:
- two counts of Robbery with an Offensive Weapon
- two counts of Assault Cause Bodily Harm
- Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace
A 14-year-old male youth from Toronto was charged with:
- two counts of Robbery with an Offensive Weapon
- two counts of Assault Cause Bodily Harm
- Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace
A 15-year-old male youth from Oakville was charged with:
- two counts of Robbery with an Offensive Weapon
- two counts of Assault Cause Bodily Harm
- Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace
A 15-year-old male youth from Toronto was charged with:
- two counts of Robbery with an Offensive Weapon
- two counts of Assault Cause Bodily Harm
- Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace
In accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, their identities cannot be released.
The youths are scheduled to appear in court next month.
