Simcoe County schools are facing severe overcrowding, with elementary schools projected to hit 111% capacity and secondary schools 104% by this fall.
Banting Memorial High School in Alliston and Nottawasaga Pines Secondary in Angus are among the schools under pressure.
The board is pushing for new school funding from the province, hoping to follow models like Nottawasaga Pines, which integrates community services.
A fall announcement is expected regarding new capital project approvals.
