A Mississauga man is facing charges after fleeing the scene of a crash last week.
On Friday, May 9th, at roughly 6:20 p.m., a Tesla Model 3 collided with a Volkswagen Jetta and a Toyota Corolla on Highway 25, approaching 22 Side Road. Each vehicle lost control and came to rest off the roadway. The driver of the Toyota was transported to a trauma centre with serious injuries.
The Tesla fled the scene. The driver was located and arrested nearby a short time later. He has been charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm, failure to stop at the scene of an accident, and failure to comply with release order.
Any witnesses or individuals in the area with dashboard cameras who have not yet spoken to police are asked to call the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 905-825-4747 ext. 5065.
