The Milton Choristers is holding their spring concert later this month!
Titled ‘Lift every voice: A journey of song’, the show will include songs from the famous musical ‘Wicked’, among other popular choices.
Artistic Director with the Milton Choristers, Rachel Cleland, shares the theme for this year’s performance.
The Milton Choristers are a mixed voice choir that has been in the community for over 50 years. With it being a community choir, Cleland says it’s important to bolster the group’s sound with professional artists. That’s why they’ll be joined by Featured Singers such as Stephanie Francesca Kim (soprano), Christina Bell (soprano), Auri Fell (tenor), and Jason Hales (tenor). They will also include two students named Leah and Isabella, as well as a young woman named Lauren.
Along with some solos and songs from Wicked, attendees can also expect a number of hits such as ‘Easy on Me’ by Adele. The show will follow specific topics related to its theme, with Cleland introducing each piece before it’s performed.
A lot goes into a performance like this, but Cleland says that it often comes to down confidence.
She adds that this performance is a great gift for someone looking to get something unique ahead of Mother’s Day.
The show is happening Saturday, May 24th, from 7:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., at Knox Presbyterian Church, located at 170 Main Street East in Milton.
Tickets are $20 at the door or online here.
