Police Day, 2019
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is inviting the public to its 23rd annual Police Day this weekend.
This free, family-friendly outdoor event promises an afternoon packed with live music, cultural performances, engaging police demonstrations, and fun activities for all ages.
Guests can enjoy free games, inflatables, and access to the Children’s Safety Village, while also watching live action demos from the K9 Unit, Tactical Rescue Unit, and Motorcycle Teams.
A variety of food and drinks will be available for purchase, and free parking is provided on both the south and north sides of the Region of Halton building. Visitors are also encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations in support of local food banks – items like canned soups, rice, jam, and baby cereal are especially appreciated.
Rain or shine, the event is happening on Saturday, May 10th from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the HRPS Headquarters, located at 2485 North Service Road West in Oakville. The day kicks off with an opening ceremony at 12:15 p.m.
Whether you’re curious about police work, looking for family fun, or simply want to support the community, Police Day is a perfect weekend outing. Recruiting officers will also be on site to speak with anyone interested in a career in policing. So, bring your family, invite your friends, and enjoy a day celebrating the important work of Halton’s police service.
