The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have recovered roughly $350,000 worth of stolen property from a home in Georgetown following a theft investigation that began earlier this month.
They launched the probe in early April after receiving a theft report from a local Caledon-based company.
On Friday, April 25th, officers executed a search warrant at the Georgetown residence and recovered what they described as “a cube van load of stolen property.” Investigators say the recovered goods were linked to a significant theft case.
A 40-year-old Georgetown resident has been charged with:
- theft over $5,000
- possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- trafficking in property obtained by crime over $5,000
The accused is scheduled to appear in court in Orangeville this June.
Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact Caledon OPP at 905-584-2241.
